Arriving in Luxembourg Luxembourg Airport: Luxembourg airport (Findel) is located 9km from Luxembourg City Centre (Ville Haute). The airport consists of two terminals (A and B). There is no chance you will get lost at the airport, it's very small and easy to navigate. At the airport you will find Starbucks and Oberweis shop and after security check you can enjoy food and light dining at Moselier or Lux Brewery Lounge bar or you can grab a sandwich from Panapolis bar. All relevant information is available under: lux-airport.lu. Transport from the airport: There's a taxi rank directly outside the terminal. A taxi into the city centre takes approximately 20 minutes and typically costs around €30 depending on the traffic and time of day. You can download the Webtaxi application, which is popular in Luxembourg. Amazon has an account open with Webtaxi, through which Amazon employees can apply a 5% discount to their ride costs. You can book the taxi through the website too: webtaxi.lu. Note: UBER is not available in Luxembourg. Another option, that is free of charge, is to take the bus. There are two buses which will take you from the airport to the train station, however they have different routes. Bus number 16 goes through the business district (Kirchberg) and city centre, and bus number 29 goes through the residential area (Cents and Pulvermuehlen). Declaration of Residence: As a new resident of Luxembourg you must register your new place of residence at local municipal office within eight days of arriving in the country. On Guichet.lu you can find more information related to this topic. In general it's a great source of information on any procedures and services offered by Luxembourg state. The website is available in French, German and English. Getting around the city: Luxembourg City is a charming capital which lays both on the hills and in the valleys. There are two main business districts called Kirchberg and Gasperich, and three historical ones; Grund, Clausen and Pfaffenthal. The city centre is called Ville Haute. The main residential areas are Bonnevoie, Limpertsberg, Hollerich, Cents, Neudorf, Merl and Strassen. The most popular meeting spots are Hamilius in the city centre and Gare (train station). AWS office: Our office is located in Amazon Campus in Kirchberg. AWS is located in the LUX12 building, all the offices are situated in a walking distance.
