Getting around Dubai By Taxi: The most cost- and time-efficient ways of getting around Dubai. By Bus: The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) operates more than 100 routes in Dubai. By Metro: Dubai's metro consists of two lines: the red line and the green line. Getting around Dubai metro will require you to purchase a NOL card, which is a pay as you go travel card. The NOL card can be used to pay the fare for travel on the metro, tram, buses and waterbuses, and for paid parking provided by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Business & leisure The opening hours (business hours) in Dubai, UAE are as following: • Banks: 8am to 1pm or 2pm • General Businesses: 9am to 6pm • Restaurants: 10am to 11pm • Nightlife Entertainment: 10pm to 3am Dubai shops are rarely closed although Friday morning is the one exception, when most stores are shut as it's the holy day. Larger malls open from 10am to 10pm and often even later during the festival periods. Dubai souks are open Saturday-Thursday 07:00am-12:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm and Friday 5:00pm-7:00pm. The working week starts from Sunday- Thursday, with the weekends being Friday and Saturday.
