Harel is a Technical Account Manager based in Tel Aviv, Israel. He joined AWS in June, 2019.
HereAtAWS: Tell us about your career journey. What brought you to your current role at AWS?
Harel: I used to work for a start-up, which helped companies begin their cloud journey. During this time, I learned about the value that AWS delivers to those companies. After working with AWS for a while as a customer, working at AWS became my career path goal.
HereAtAWS: Can you explain in simple terms: your role, who your customers are, and how you help them?
Harel: My role as a TAM (Technical Account Manager), is to make sure the customer is getting all that they need from AWS. I’m the voice of the customer for AWS and the voice of AWS for the customer. The TAMs assist their customers by giving them the access and attention to and from AWS, and delivering the tools and insights that aid a successful partnership.
HereAtAWS: What’s the most exciting part of your job?
Harel: Helping the customers in achieving their goals. In addition, being a partner for their successful journey. As you probably heard, we’re customer-obsessed at AWS, so seeing the impact your work has had on their success is the most rewarding feeling.
HereAtAWS: What advice would you give people joining AWS?
Harel: Embrace the AWS culture, it is unique and peculiar, but exhilarating and life-changing.
HereAtAWS: What three words would you use to describe workdays at AWS?
Harel: Challenging, fun and satisfying.
