Limor joined AWS in June 2020 as an Account Manager, based in Israel.
HereAtAWS: Tell us about your career journey. What brought you to your current role at AWS?
Limor: When I young, I had no doubt that I was going to be a musician when I grew up. I played the guitar, studied music at high school and thought this would be the greatest thing to do in my life. After I finished my military service, I went to music school and graduated on composition and music arrangement. I had some background on programming and while I was at music school, I worked as a part time programmer.
In my last year of music school, I started to think that being a musician might not be my path, and it wasn’t who I was anymore, so I started focusing on the more technological aspects of my life. It started from software implementation and project management roles, then I moved to technical sales roles- presale, product sales and sales specialist. Today, at AWS, I’m doing my first account management role that is a much more customer-focused role.
HereAtAWS: Can you explain in simple terms: your role, who your customers are, and how you help them?
Limor: My role is to lead and escort my customers – insurance companies in Israel, on their cloud adoption journey
HereAtAWS: What’s the most exciting part of your job?
Limor: The most exciting part of my job is making a difference – taking customers on a journey from being unaware or uneducated about AWS, to a place where they see the benefits and are really excited to grow with AWS.
HereAtAWS: What three words would you use to describe workdays at AWS?
Limor: Exciting, challenging, dynamic.
